The Bitter Housewife
Cardamom Bitters go with just about everything. They add a lovely depth to sweeter fruit-based drinks, but also blend right in with the smoky characteristics of an anejo tequila or scotch.
Note: These are alcohol-based bitters that use alcohol as a preservative (ex. vanilla extract). See FAQs for more details.

"Incredibly versatile. I always get nervous buying specially flavored bitters, but this will mix with just about anything and elevate it to another level. It’s like the “secret ingredient” for all cocktails. In our house we like gin and bourbon based cocktails and this effortlessly mixes with both. It even goes well with soda water and a slice of orange for a refreshing drink on hot day. It has a spicy/sweet quality that is unmatched and can swing either sweet or savory. I will definitely be keeping this as a bar-staple in our house!"
Sherry Cobbler
INGREDIENTS
3.5 oz amontillado sherry or alternative
.5 oz simple syrup
4-6 dashes Cardamom Bitters
1-2 orange slices
INSTRUCTIONS
Muddle the orange slices, simple syrup, and bitters
Add sherry (or AF alternative) and ice
Stir until chilled, then strain into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice

The Bitter Housewife will ship to P.O. box addresses using postal services only. We are unable to offer other carriers to these locations.
